Apologies for the terrible image quality - I’m lacking scanner access at the minute so I had to take these photos on my phone

I was reading hyperbole and a half’s blog entry explaining their experience of depression and decided to make another sketchy comic based on my experiences with anxiety, which is another mental illness I think people tend to misunderstand quite frequently

Hopefully this will be of use to some people - whether they suffer from anxiety themselves or if they just want to know more about it

You should publish this.

I can relate to this a lot. If you know someone with an anxiety disorder and they are struggling and you can’t always be there for them, it’s a good idea to try and get them help by directing them to appropriate services, like therapy.

A lot of people are talking about the new tumblr regulations about NSFW content and that is really important but I’m personally more upset about the limitations on tag searches on mobile devices.

THE FOLLOWING TAGS NO LONGER WORK ON MOBILE DEVICES:

bisexual
bisexuality
lesbian
gay
pansexual
straight
heterosexual
hetero
homosexual

THE FOLLOWING TAGS DO WORK ON MOBILE :

bi
lesbo
homo
transgender
queer
lgbt
lgbtq

I can’t speak for what happens in the other tags, but the bisexuality tag is how the bisexual community on tumblr finds our own, and to have that stricken from mobile is insane.   Didn’t we just win a big victory with google?

Just because some people use these tags for porn is no reason to erase entire classes of people.  Oppressed people.  People who have already had their feelings and lives dismissed, ignored, and generally shat on.

Does anyone know of a petition we can sign or a formal complaint system??  I don’t want to take this lying down, but I don’t know what we should do.

This is something that is very troubling to us here at this blog.  We tag most of our posts with bisexuality and with only 5 tags to find an audience, we want our stuff to be found by the widest audience possible.

Also could we be labelled a NSFW or Adult blog for posting erotica reviews?  We’re very concerned for what this means for the bisexual and queer culture of tumblr.

Just like any other ham-handed one-size-fits-all solution, this one will most negatively impact already marginalized people.

There hasn’t been any explanation of how you get slammed as NSFW or Adult … What the distinction would be. As NSFW, I already don’t show up in notes anywhere on mobile.
The lack of a clear policy on this makes me concerned …

This actually makes me feel really sick.I don’t usually make posts like this butIt’s illegal to pretend you’re disabled and have a need for a service or emotional support animal without an actual need for one. If someone found out that you were lying about having a disability (which you would have to to get your dog registered) you’d have problems.I’m very. Upset about this. I hope you guys can see why. Lifehackable.tumblr.com is encouraging illegal behavior that not only the person perpetrating it can get into trouble for, but it makes it 10x harder for people who have actual service/emotional support animals to be accommodated. This is the kind of thing people pulled on restaurants in my area that makes them question whether my dog is a service dog or not and this is the kind of thing that makes it harder for people with service animals to go through a day without being questioned. People turn and ask me if they can get their dog a vest like my dog’s just to get them into restaurants and other placesand it makes me feel ill and brings me to tears. It invalidates our disabilities and our real needs for service animals and emotional support animals. Please don’t reblog the photoset this is in and please don’t do this.

… You need a letter from a psychiatrist to be able to use this. I had no idea that ESAs were a thing until I saw this and did some research. I travel back home every weekend to see my pets because having them around makes me feel so much better than when I don’t. Now I might be far away from my family for next semester and if I don’t have my pets I’ll lose it … I’m going to ask my therapist about this. I’ve been terrified of not having my pet with me so I can relax.
